Keto Cobb Salad || Vegetarian, gluten & dairy-free

cobb salad

I just dropped a new video on Youtube sharing a keto cobb salad recipe *insert fire emoji’s since WordPress is blocking it* lol.

So a lot of my meals make it appear as though I’m following the keto diet. I say this because my diet consists of: lots of veggies, moderate legumes, chicken and fish, with a lot of nuts/oils/olives. Basically my fat intake has significantly increased and my carbs are kept very minimal which basically puts me in the bracket of eating keto diet.

What is a keto diet?

A keto diet is defined as a low-carb, high-fat diet known to have many health benefits yet it’s most recognized for its ability to accelerate weight loss. This is because after a week of following a keto diet, your body will go into ketosis. Ketosis is a state in which fat stores are broken down to produce energy. In other words, when the body does not have enough glucose for energy, it burns stored fats instead.

Naturally, our bodies look for glucose as its main energy source, however when the body is in ketosis, it has no choice but to burn the next best source for energy which is fat. Generally people melt pounds off while on a keto diet without excessive physical activity because the body takes from the stored fat in your body as the energy source.

I should note that I’m not eating keto to lose weight, but I’ll take the health benefits that come with it.

Eating a keto diet is also known to:

  • Promote better brain function
  • Decrease inflammation
  • Increase energy
  • Reduce blood sugar levels

So yes, thank you I’ll take all of that and then some lol. Anyway, sharing with you my latest upload where I’m preparing a vegetarian, dairy-free keto cobb salad (also candida diet approved – according to my food restrictions).

Don’t forget to share, like, subscribe if you haven’t alreadyyy. Kthxbye <3

  1. This looks delicious. Love the use of eggs in salad. Could you have put some cheese in there and if so what type of cheese would you have used?

    1. Lolol I know you love eggs :p Since I’m following the candida diet I’m dairy free so no cheese in this. However, I think feta would go well in a cobb salad.
