“Everything Gonna Be, Okay?!” Insecure Finale Recap

It’s the end of an era. The Insecure Series finale just aired last week and I’m still trying to figure out what I’m gonna do next lol. I always have a difficult time moving on from shows I’ve grown to enjoy, but this one is different.

I’m not sure if Insecure is a spin-off of Awkward Black Girl (a Youtube series) from Issa Rae, but the love for the show originates from back then. It was a show of its own kind that had a genuine take on urban black women’s lives and black culture without it being too serious yet still thought-provoking and light-hearted yet still reflected real-life situations- I can keep going on lol. It was a real show! And so I’ll miss the storyline, the characters, and being entertained by Issa’s quirkiness.

That being said, I took to the podcast to share how I resonate with Molly and Issa’s character development and just how much I’ll miss the show.
